DESCRIPTION OF FEATURES
Description of Features:
This object, unearthed in 1995 from Tomb 8 at Cemetery 1 of the Niya site, Minfeng County in Xinjiang, is circular with a central knob. A red silk cord is threaded through a hole in the knob and knotted at its end. The decoration is organized concentrically from the center: it features a square, with a concentric circle at each of its four corners and a small, raised concentric circle at the midpoint of each side. The outer zone is decorated with a continuous band of triangular patterns.
